On January 9, the Russian army launched an air strike on Kherson. The attack resulted in injuries, according to the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Roman Mrochko.

The Russians launched 3 guided aerial bombs. One of them hit a private house, destroying it.

A man and a woman were pulled from the rubble and taken away by an ambulance. The 85-year-old victim suffered contusion, blast, and closed head injuries. Another victim has an acute stress reaction.

A company and a kindergarten were also hit. Fires broke out as a result of the Russian air strike.

Later, Mrochko reported two more victims - men aged 52 and 62, who were on the street when the KAB hit. The 52-year-old was hospitalized with facial injuries and explosive and closed head injuries.

As of 12:20 p.m. Kyiv time, the number of victims increased to 6.

Russian shelling of Kherson

According to local authorities, Russian occupants have intensified shelling of Kherson and the region in recent weeks. Attacks by FPV drones have become especially frequent.

Also, due to the intensified shelling, buses have been suspended for some time in villages near Kherson.

The Russians also intensified their assaults in the Kherson region, trying to seize the islands at the mouth of the Dnipro River and gain a foothold in the right-bank part of the region.
