Russia destroys Zaporizhzhia's power facility leaving 20,000 people without electricity
During the night, Russians attacked Zaporizhzhia twice. During one of the attacks, Russia destroyed a power facility, leaving 20,000 people without electricity, says Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
According to Fedorov, due to the destruction of the power facility, 20 thousand subscribers, boiler houses, healthcare, and social security institutions, which resulted in the absence of heat supply for 17 thousand subscribers were left without electricity:
All services are already working at the sites of the damage. In particular, philanthropists have joined the relief efforts. The city has deployed Points of Unbreakability.
During the first attack, Russians used Shahed unmanned aerial vehicles against the city. In the morning, Russia attacked with ballistic missiles.
As of now, 25 civilians have been wounded, including a two-month-old boy. One more person was killed.
Russian strikes on Ukraine
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russian terrorists have been regularly attacking Ukraine, using various types of missiles, guided aerial bombs, drones, and artillery. Civilian infrastructure is often targeted, posing a serious threat to people.
Russia also resorts to launching drones at Ukraine every night. For example, on the night of January 22, the Russians launched 99 drones at Ukraine from 6 directions.
