Russia deploys one Kalibr carrier to Black Sea
As of 06:00 on August 27, a single Russian warship armed with Kalibr cruise missiles has been detected in the Black Sea. The vessel is capable of launching up to four missiles, reports the Ukrainian Navy.
No enemy vessels are currently present in the Sea of Azov.
In the Mediterranean Sea, three enemy ships have been detected, but none are equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles.
Over the past 24 hours, the following vessel movements in the Kerch Strait have been reported in Russia's interests:
- nine ships entered the Black Sea, with four continuing towards the Bosporus Strait;
- six ships entered the Sea of Azov, including one that came from the Bosporus Strait.
On Monday, August 26, Russian forces carried out a large-scale combined strike on Ukraine's critical infrastructure. A total of 236 enemy aerial attack assets were detected. Russian forces launched 28 Kalibr cruise missiles from surface and submarine platforms in the eastern part of the Black Sea, according to the Ukrainian Navy.
On the morning of August 26, Russia deployed four ships capable of launching Kalibr cruise missiles into the Black Sea, with a total missile salvo of up to 28 missiles.
