Russia deployed Iskander-M ballistic missile for strike on center of Kharkiv
Investigators have identified the type of missile used by Russian forces in the evening strike on Kharkiv on December 30, according to Suspilne.
Volodymyr Tymoshenko, the head of the Kharkiv regional police, told a source that the city was targeted with Iskander-M missiles.
"Russians hit the building of the Kharkiv Palace hotel and a residential building in the center of Kharkiv on the evening of December 30 with Iskander-M missiles," Tymoshenko reported.
He also mentioned that rooms in the hotel were occupied, but the exact number of people there during the attack is still unknown.
"It is known that 34 rooms were occupied in the hotel, but the exact number of guests present during the attack has not been calculated yet," the police chief said.
Russian attack on the center of Kharkiv on December 30
On the evening of December 30, the center of Kharkiv was hit by a missile attack from Russian forces. A hotel and a residential building were damaged, and among the casualties were a foreign journalist and a child.
Later, it was revealed that 26 people were injured as a result of the Russian missile attack.
Earlier, the Mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, reported that Russians shelled the city with missiles of the S-300 type launched from the Belgorod region. There were two powerful explosions in the city center.
