Russia continues to hold ship in Black Sea: Navy responds on threat of shelling

As of 06:00 Kyiv time on February 19, one Russian ship has been recorded in the Black Sea. It is a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo capacity of up to 4 units, according to the morning report of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
At the same time, there are no Russian ships in the Sea of Azov, as was the case the previous day.
However, enemy ships continue to be present in the Mediterranean Sea. This morning, military forces recorded 4 vessels there, 3 of which are carriers of Kalibr missiles with a total salvo capacity of up to 26 missiles.
Additionally, over the past 24 hours, in the interests of Russia, the following vessels passed through the Kerch Strait:
- to the Black Sea - 3 ships, one of which continued towards the Bosporus Strait;
- to the Sea of Azov - 6 ships, four of which moved from the Bosporus Strait.
"The Russian Federation continues to violate the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) of 1974 by disabling Automatic Identification Systems," added the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Goals of using Russian ships in other parts of the world
At the beginning of February, it became known that the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine had obtained information about the routes, cargoes, and ports servicing Russian ships that were transporting weapons from Syria. In particular, sanctioned vessels have been involved in the operation. Russian movements began after the regime of Bashar al-Assad in Syria fell.
