Russia claimed a supposed rocket attack on the Hvardiiske airbase in Crimea, some occupiers were wounded. Although it supposedly happened on March 1, Russia only mentioned the attack on March 4, according to ASTRA and Radio Liberty.

"The Hvardiiske airbase in Crimea was attacked by rockets. Three servicemen were wounded," ASTRA said.

According to the Telegram channel, supposedly two "unidentified rockets" fell on the territory of the Hvardiiske airbase (military unit 46451) around 4 pm on March 1.

"Both rockets exploded. The runway of the aerodrome was damaged. Three servicemen were injured," says the source.

What is known about Russia's Hvardiiske (Gvardeyskoye) airbase

As Radio Liberty reports, the 37th mixed aviation regiment of the Russian Air Force, consisting of two squadrons of Su-24M and Su-25SM aircraft - 12 each, is based at the Hvardiiske airfield.

Explosions also happened in the area of the airbase on August 16, 2022. Another explosion occurred on March 29, 2023. Then, the occupiers claimed a supposed anti-aircraft missile system activation. Two more explosions were recorded on August 2, 2023.

Partisans have staged several raids on this airbase. For example, in early October 2023, partisans infiltrated the Hvardiiske airfield, where they spotted several anti-aircraft defense systems.
