Russia claimed to have destroyed the Patriot battalion in the Dnipro region. However, this information is fake, stated Yurii Ihnat, acting head of the Communications Department of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the alleged destruction of a Patriot battalion in the Dnipropetrovsk region. However, Ihnat emphasized that the enemy only damaged a few units of equipment, not destroyed them.

"This is war; in war, not only people but also equipment get wounded. Moreover, this same Patriot unit continues to perform tasks in the region," said the Air Force representative.

The acting head of the Air Force's communications department also noted that on the same day, the Patriot was engaged in an air defense battle against a group of Russian ballistic missiles, some of which were intercepted.

"Technologies in war are rapidly evolving; their guided bombs have started flying farther. They learned from the losses of about a dozen aircraft during their previous audacious attacks. Now, hunting Russian Su aircraft is significantly more difficult," Ihnat stated.

According to him, the Russian forces are changing their tactics and employing all available reconnaissance methods, from satellites and reconnaissance drones to ground agents. The enemy does not spare Iskander missiles, having information about the potential presence of Patriot systems in certain areas.

On the night of October 9, the Russian army launched three ballistic missiles and 22 drones at Ukraine.

Air defense shot down 21 UAVs, with one returning to Russia on its own.
