Russia attempting to breach defenses of Ukraine's Forces in two directions - General Staff
Since the beginning of the day, the number of military clashes along the entire front line has increased to 80. The Pokrovsk direction remains the most active, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, throughout the day, Russian forces persist in attempts to break through our defense on the Kupiansk and Kurakhove directions.
Moreover, Kharkiv and the region continue to endure strikes from enemy aircraft. From the territory of the Russian Federation, specifically from the Shebekino area, the enemy launched two strikes with six guided aerial bombs (KABs) on Vovchansk, two KABs on Bilyi Kolodiaz, and another KAB hit Staryi Saltiv. The Russian army also targeted Vovchansk Khutors with eight unguided aviation missiles. Currently, there is one ongoing combat clash in the Kharkiv direction.
Frontline situation
In the Kupiansk direction, the number of combat clashes has risen to 13. Our soldiers successfully repelled five attacks, while eight are ongoing near Synkivka, Novoselivka, Novoehorivka, and Stelmakhivka.
In the Lyman direction, the aggressor is attacking in the areas of Nevske and Yampol. One clash ended unsuccessfully for the enemy, while another is ongoing.
The situation remains tense in the Pokrovsk direction. Since the beginning of the day, there have been 37 combat clashes recorded. Ukrainian defense forces successfully repelled 27 assault actions by Russian invaders. Ten battles are ongoing. The situation is under control.
In the Kurakhove direction, Russian troops attempted to attack our positions seven times. Ukrainian defenders repelled three assault actions, while four are ongoing near Krasnohorivka and Paraskevivka.
In the Vremivka direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled six attacks by Russian troops.
Combat continues in the Orihiv direction near Mala Tokmachka and Novodanylivka. Three have ended unsuccessfully for the enemy, while two are ongoing.
In the remaining directions – no significant changes.
Russia's renewed offensive
Earlier, the General Staff reported that Russia intensified its actions in the Pokrovsk direction. There have been ongoing battles there over the past day, with the enemy launching attacks with the support of aviation.
Additionally, today President Volodymyr Zelenskyy chaired a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, attended by Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi and Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov.
