Russia attacked Ukraine with 152 strike drones overnight on August 15. Air defense forces managed to shoot down most of the enemy drones, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

This night, Russian forces attacked with 152 Shahed-type attack drones, including jet-powered ones, Gerbera drones, Bandero lloitering munitions and Parodiya-type decoy drones launched from the following directions: Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, and temporarily occupied Donetsk.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m., air defenses had shot down or suppressed 124 enemy Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones, as well as three Bandero lloitering munitions in the north, south and east of the country.

Hits by enemy aerial attack weapons were recorded at 16 locations, while debris from downed targets fell at one location.

Attacks on Ukraine

As previously reported, overnight on August 15, Russian forces attacked a high-rise building in Marhanets with drones. A three-month-old boy was killed in the strike, while 11 other people were injured, seven of whom were hospitalized in serious condition.

Russia also attacked Zaporizhzhia with drones overnight. Hits were recorded at the Epicentr shopping center, where a fire broke out, as well as at an industrial facility.

In addition, Russian forces attacked a footwear factory in Odesa region's Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district with drones.
