On the night of November 26, Russia attacked Ukraine with Iskander-M ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The air defense forces shot down 76 drones, according to the Telegram channel of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

During the night, Russian army attacked Ukraine with:

  • Four Iskander-M missiles from the Voronezh and Kursk regions;
  • 188 Shahed drones and unmanned aerial vehicles of an unspecified type from the directions of Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, and Primorsk-Akhtarsk.

The following forces were involved in repelling the attack:

  • Aviation;
  • Anti-aircraft missile units;
  • Electronic warfare systems;
  • Mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

As of 9 AM Kyiv time, 76 enemy drones were shot down in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, Sumy, and several other regions.

96 drones were lost due to active electronic warfare interference by the Defense Forces. Another five drones headed toward Belarus.

"Unfortunately, there were hits on critical infrastructure objects, and several private and multi-apartment buildings were damaged due to the massive UAV attack in several regions. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties or injuries," the Air Force reports.

Shelling of Ukraine

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has regularly launched attacks on Ukrainian cities and villages, causing significant infrastructure damage and numerous civilian casualties. Various types of weapons are used in these strikes, including missiles, artillery, strike drones, and aviation means.

Last night, the enemy launched 145 drones at Ukraine. At the same time, air defense forces managed to destroy 71 drones.
