Russia attacks Ukraine with dozens of drones and missiles overnight
On the night of September 3, Russia struck Ukraine with ballistic missiles and drones. 27 Russian drones were shot down, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
At night, Russia attacked Ukraine from the territory of occupied Crimea. Russians launched an Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile. From the territory of the Kursk region, Russia struck Ukraine with a Kh-59/69 guided missile.
Russians also attacked Ukraine with 35 Shahed-131/136 drones. The launches took place from Cape Chauda in the occupied Crimea, and Kursk region.
The Ukrainian Air Force said that Ukrainian aviation, as well as anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups, were involved in repelling another Russian attack.
"As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, 27 Russian Shahed-131/136 drones were shot down," the press service says.
6 of them were lost locally. There was no information about the destruction or injuries caused by the Russian drone's wreckage.
"Two more Russian drones flew in the direction of the Belgorod region and the occupied Donetsk region," the Ukrainian Air Force adds.
At night, Ukrainian air defenses were operating in Kyiv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Poltava, Chernihiv and Sumy regions.
