Russia attacks Ukraine with 19 drones and missiles: Air defense's work reported
On the night of July 18, Russian troops launched 19 targets at Ukraine. All drones and two missiles out of three were shot down, according to the Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk.
“On the night of July 18, Russia struck Ukraine with 16 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs from the Kursk region and three guided missiles from the south - two Kh-59/Kh-69 and one Kh-35,” he says.
According to the general, most of the targets were destroyed in the eastern direction - in the area of responsibility of the East Air Command.
“As a result, all 16 Shaheds and two Kh-59 guided missiles were destroyed in Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv and Kharkiv regions,” Oleshchuk notes.
Russian attack on Ukraine
On the night of July 18, Russian troops organized a new attack on Ukraine with both drones and missiles. The alert was raised both because of the threat of kamikaze drones and the takeoff of a Russian MiG-31K aircraft.
Explosions were heard in Kremenchuk. In addition, Ukrainian air defense was operating on the outskirts of Kyiv. During one of the air attacks, the Ukrainian military warned of the threat of drones to the capital.
