Air defense system downs drones near Kyiv: Night attack details
During one of the recent air alerts in Kyiv, there was a real threat of enemy UAVs to the capital, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration.
According to the report, a certain number of enemy drones were heading towards the capital but were intercepted by air defense forces on the outskirts (details about the type and number will be available later in the Air Force reports).
After the enemy UAVs were intercepted, information quickly emerged about alleged debris falling in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv. Emergency response teams promptly inspected the area, but no signs of an attack were found, leaving the capital without damage or casualties.
"Take care of yourselves and do not ignore air raid alerts," said the Kyiv City Military Administration.
On the evening of Wednesday, July 17, an alert was declared in Kyiv and several regions of Ukraine. Drones were detected coming from the north.
Additionally, on that day, several nationwide alerts were declared due to the takeoffs of Russian MiG aircraft.
