Russia attacks Ukraine with 108 drones, including jet-powered Shaheds

On the night of September 14, Russian forces launched another massive drone attack on Ukraine. The air attack began at around 6:00 p.m. on September 13, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
In total, the enemy launched 108 attack UAVs toward Ukraine. These included Shahed-type drones, including jet-powered variants, Gerbera drones, as well as Parodiya decoy drones.
The launches were carried out from several directions. The drones were launched from the areas of Oryol and Kursk in Russia, the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region, and Crimea, from the area of Hvardiiske.
To counter the air attack, Ukraine's Defense Forces deployed aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, and unmanned systems units. Mobile fire groups were also deployed against the Russian drones.
According to preliminary data as of 8:00 a.m., Ukrainian air defenses managed to shoot down or suppress 85 enemy drones. The destroyed and suppressed targets included Shaheds, Gerberas, and other types of UAVs.
The consequences of the attack could not be completely avoided. Enemy aerial weapons were recorded hitting seven locations.
At the time of publication, the attack was ongoing. Enemy drones remained in Ukrainian airspace. Ukrainians were urged to follow safety rules.
On the night of September 13, Russian forces launched a massive air attack on Ukraine, with western regions among those targeted. Ukrainian air defenses shot down most of the enemy drones, but at least 13 strikes were recorded. Explosions continued in some regions.
