On the night of July 26, Russian troops again attacked the Zhytomyr region with drones. Infrastructure and energy facilities came under Russian attack, according to Vitalii Bunechko, head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration.

“Last night, during an air alert, Russia massively attacked attack again Zhytomyr region with Shahed UAVs. Ukrainian Air Defense Forces conducted active anti-drone work,” he says.

Consequences of Russian attack

Russian drones damaged civilian infrastructure and energy facilities.

“We are eliminating the consequences and assessing the damage. There are no civilian casualties,” notes Bunechko.

Russian shelling of Ukraine

On the night of July 26, an alert was declared in some regions of Ukraine - in Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, and Kyiv regions. The alert was also announced in Kyiv.

Russia attacked Nizhyn, Chernihiv region, with drones, and one person was wounded.

Russian occupiers also launched a massive attack on the Zhytomyr region on the night of July 25. An infrastructure facility and houses were damaged.
