Russian drone attack on Zhytomyr region: Consequences revealed
Russian occupiers launched a massive attack on the Zhytomyr region on the night of July 25, damaging an infrastructure facility and residential buildings, according to Vitalii Bunechko, head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration.
"Last night, the enemy carried out a massive kamikaze drone attack on the Zhytomyr region," the report said.
According to him, air defense forces conducted intense anti-Shahed operations and hit most of the approximately 10 aerial targets.
"As a result of falling debris and the blast wave from the impacts, about 10 private houses and an infrastructure facility were damaged. There are no casualties or injuries. Efforts to eliminate the consequences are ongoing," Bunechko added.
Russian shelling of Ukraine
On the night of July 25, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian territory with kamikaze drones. Around 3:00 AM, air raid alerts were declared in Kyiv and most regions of Ukraine, with military officials warning of drone threats.
Later, it became known that air defense systems shot down all the drones heading towards Kyiv. In total, Russia launched 38 drones at Ukraine, with air defenses shooting down 25 of them.
Additionally, for the second consecutive night, the invaders attacked the Izmail district, damaging port infrastructure and causing injuries.
