Russia attacks Dnipro and region with drones: Aftermath revealed
The city of Dnipro and the Dnipropetrovsk region were hit by Russia's nighttime attack. Rescuers continue to eliminate the consequences of the attack, according to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Serhii Lysak, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
According to Lysak, on the night of Monday, January 27, 13 Russian attack drones were destroyed over the Dnipropetrovsk region.
However, the Russian attack damaged the infrastructure in the Samarivskyi district. A fire broke out there. Three private houses and an outbuilding were also damaged.
In Dnipro, three high-rise buildings were damaged. One of them caught fire and was extinguished by rescuers.
Russians also attacked the Nikopol community with Grad multiple rocket launchers and heavy artillery. They hit the district center and the Marhanets community. There is destruction on the territory of an industrial enterprise.
The State Emergency Service clarified that the roof of a nine-story residential building caught fire in Dnipro as a result of Russian strikes. In addition, two other residential buildings were damaged. Rescuers quickly extinguished the fire, but survey work continued.
In the Samarivskyi district, infrastructure was damaged and a fire broke out. Three private houses and an outbuilding were also damaged. Fortunately, no one was killed or injured.
64 rescuers and 24 units of SESU equipment were engaged to eliminate the consequences.
Russian attack on Ukraine
On the night of Monday, January 27, Russia again launched attack drones at the territory of Ukraine from different directions. Due to the drone attack, an air alert was declared in Kyiv, and air defense in the capital was reported to be in operation.
The air alert was announced in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Chernivtsi regions.
There were also explosions in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. Russians attacked the region several times with drones. Critical infrastructure facilities were targeted.
