Russian attack drone targeted agricultural workers on the evening of July 17, according to Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration head Oleksandr Hanzha.

Russia strikes bus in Marhanets with drone

One person was killed and eight others were injured in the Russian attack on Marhanets, Hanzha said.

"In the evening, Russian forces struck a bus belonging to an agricultural company with an FPV drone. The workers were returning home from work at the time," he said.

A 48-year-old man was killed at the scene.

"Two women and six men were injured. All of them have been hospitalized," the head of the Regional Military Administration added.

Security situation in Marhanets

In June, authorities expanded the mandatory evacuation zone in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Families with children are now also being evacuated from one street in the city of Marhanets.

In February, Russian forces shelled Marhanets with artillery. The attack sparked a fire, damaged and destroyed numerous buildings, and left four people injured.

On April 23, 2025, the Russian army attacked a bus carrying workers in Marhanets. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described the strike as "an absolutely deliberate crime."
