The Russian army launched several dozen drones at Kyiv during the night of March 29. The air raid alert in the capital lasted for more than three hours, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration.

In total, the air raid alert was declared twice over the past 24 hours:

  • from 11:04 PM to 1:05 AM;
  • from 1:15 AM to 2:17 AM.

In total, the alert lasted 3 hours and 3 minutes.

"During the night of March 29, 30 enemy UAVs were detected in the airspace of Kyiv and its outskirts," the statement reads.

Sixteen of them were destroyed by air defense systems, while the rest were either lost or left the airspace. No casualties or damage were reported within Kyiv.

Russia's drone attack on Ukraine

Russian forces began attacking Ukraine with drones on the evening of Friday, March 28. Explosions were heard in both Dnipro and Kyiv, with air defense systems in operation.

In Dnipro, 21 people have been reported injured due to the attack. Four people were killed. Large fires caused by yesterday's drone attack have been extinguished in Dnipro. Buildings, cars, and rescue vehicles were destroyed.
