Russia attacked energy infrastructure in 5 regions at night - Ministry of Energy
On the night of Saturday, June 1, the Russian Federation attacked energy infrastructure in five regions of Ukraine during a missile strike, states by Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko.
According to him, during the latest attack, Russia attempted to target energy infrastructure in the Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kirovohrad, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
"The consequences are being clarified. Energy workers are already working on their elimination," Halushchenko wrote.
Recall that today, a large-scale air raid alert was announced in Ukraine due to an attack by Russian aviation. Approximately four strategic bombers, Tu-95MS, were detected in the air, launching missiles.
In addition, Shahed-type drones were launched from southern Ukraine and were detected in the central, southern, and western regions.
Power outages in Ukraine
Since the beginning of spring, Ukrainian energy facilities have been subjected to shelling by Russia. This has led to the destruction of about 80% of energy generation.
As a result, in May, scheduled power outages returned in Ukraine.
As previously reported by Ukrenergo, the situation in the energy system is expected to worsen again soon.
