Russia almost destroyed Toretsk: Footage revealed
As of December, 1,500 more civilians are still living in frontline Toretsk. The city was almost wiped off the map as a result of Russian attacks with guided aerial bombs and artillery, according to the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops.
“As of 2014, about 70,000 people lived their full lives in Toretsk... But as of December 2024, about 1,500 locals refuse to leave the once glorious city. This is the current population of Toretsk. There is almost nothing left of it after Russia's invasion,” Khortytsia notes.
Situation in Toretsk
In early September, Russians managed to enter the territory of Toretsk, Donetsk region. Since then, street fighting has been going on in the frontline city. According to Anastasia Bobovnikova, spokesperson for the Luhansk operation and tactical group of troops, Russia is currently controlling the eastern part of Toretsk.
