Russia has activated a network of spies in Ukraine, including in the Security Service. The invaders' goal is to destabilize the situation in the country and undermine the unity of our state, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, stated in an interview with The Times.

Updated. The Times reported that Russia had activated spies, even within the Security Service (SSU), but Danilov explained in a comment to "UP" that his words were misunderstood. According to him, the SSU is "actively working on spies."

According to him, the goal of Russian agents is to sow discord between the political and military leadership of Ukraine and ignite anti-government sentiments among the population.

Danilov noted that Russia is trying to exploit the "so-called tension" between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi.

The Secretary of the NSDC also revealed that Russia is attempting to spread disinformation and propaganda to destabilize the situation in Ukraine.

Russia is preparing a disinformation plan to divide Ukrainian society

Recently, information appeared on social media and in the media that starting from November 1, Russian special services have launched a massive information attack called Maidan-3, aimed at destabilizing Ukraine.

According to media reports, Russian special services plan to carry out a new information attack on Ukraine in November-December 2023.

Later, commenting on this plan, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia seeks to sow division in Ukrainian society, creating chaos within the country and ultimately removing the president.

He said, "Maidan for Russia is a coup, so the operation is understandable."

Zelenskyy is also confident that Russia wants to remove him from the position of the president of Ukraine by the end of 2023. To achieve this, the aggressor country has devised a plan to destabilize our state called Maidan-3.
