Rumors claim Poland may cancel visa-free travel for Ukrainians - Kyiv denies

Information is spreading online about an intention by Poland to end the visa-free regime with Ukraine. However, this information is not true, according to the Center for Countering Disinformation of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council.
"This information is not true. It reflects the personal opinion of one Polish politician who does not influence decisions of this kind," the Center stated.
The Center reminded that the visa-free regime between Ukraine and Poland is based on a pan-European decision. It was introduced by all EU countries that are part of the Schengen Area. Formally, canceling or restricting visa-free travel requires a decision at the EU level.
Poland to cancel visa-free travel for several countries
Earlier, it was reported that the Polish government plans to soon submit a request under the Schengen Agreement to revoke visa-free entry for several countries.
The specific list of countries affected by the new restrictions remains confidential. However, it is known that the restrictions will target states whose citizens frequently violate the law in Poland, such as Colombia.
