US can no longer solve all world’s problems - Secretary of State

The United States of America cannot solve all the problems that are happening in the world, stated US Secretary of State Marco Rubio during a hearing in the Senate.
According to him, the United States must defend its national interests.
Rubio said that terrible things are happening on the planet.
"America cannot solve every single one of them. What we need to focus on is prioritizing our foreign policy in all areas that are in our national interests," the US Secretary of State stated.
He believes that the US still remains the world’s largest provider of foreign and humanitarian aid.
Shutdown and restructuring of USAID
On his first day in office, President Donald Trump ordered a 90-day freeze on all US foreign aid.
This initiative, along with subsequent executive orders to halt operations, put many US Agency for International Development (USAID) programs around the world at risk.
USAID underwent major restructuring: the agency was effectively dismantled, the majority of its staff were placed on leave or laid off, and over 80% of its grants were suspended.
These changes had a significant impact on Ukraine. For instance, USAID terminated a $75 million grant agreement with the Ukraine Energy Support Fund. In addition, it was reported that funding freezes affected healthcare-related projects.
Western media also reported that the Trump administration had developed a large-scale reform of USAID foreign aid.
