Rubio says Trump team is working closely with Senate on sanctions against Russia

The administration of US President Donald Trump is actively cooperating with the Senate on imposing new sanctions against Russia, Reuters reports, citing US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
"The Trump administration has been engaging with the Senate on what a sanctions bill would look like," he said.
Rubio reminded that Trump is "disappointed" with Russia's behavior. But the White House, he said, hopes that the interaction between Washington and the Kremlin will resume when there is a plan to resolve the "Ukraine conflict."
Trump may impose new sanctions against Russia
Meanwhile, Trump, according to media reports, is ready to sign a bill on tough sanctions against Russia. This document provides for the import tariffs of 500% for countries that buy Russian energy resources. However, Trump wants to solely control the process of imposing and lifting sanctions.
He has significantly changed his attitude toward Putin in recent days. For example, on July 8, he said that "we get a lot of bullsh**t thrown at us by Putin" and promised Putin a surprise.
