US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that it is important to reopen embassies for effective diplomacy. To achieve a peaceful resolution of the conflict, it is necessary to resolve the issue of Ukraine first, stated US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
According to Marco Rubio, the goal is to normalize diplomatic efforts, including ensuring the proper functioning of embassies.
The US Secretary of State added that if diplomatic channels do not function, it will be difficult to communicate consistently and effectively, which could derail all discussions on Ukraine.
Rubio also noted that some progress has already been made, with certain missions resuming operations.
However, he emphasized the need to act quickly to avoid wasting time. The key element, in his view, is reaching an agreement acceptable to all sides of the conflict.
If such an agreement becomes a reality, it will be a unique opportunity to make the world a better place.
Still, Rubio stressed that the top priority remains resolving the Ukraine issue in a way that is acceptable to all parties involved.
Rubio previously stated that the war between Ukraine and Russia should end under conditions acceptable to both sides.
He also noted that the meeting between American and Russian officials lays the groundwork for future contacts.
