On Thursday, December 18, the couple shared a family photo. In the snapshot, they are joined by their three children — 12-year-old Prince George, 10-year-old Princess Charlotte, and 7-year-old Prince Louis.
''Wishing everyone a very Happy Christmas!,'' they captioned the photo.
According to the post, the photo was taken in April 2025 by British photographer Josh Shinner. The family is seated in a field, leaning close to one another.
For the portrait, they chose a subdued, natural color palette. Princes William and Louis wore dark green sweaters paired with blue jeans, while Princess Charlotte, gently resting her head on her father’s shoulder, wore a patterned green sweater with a matching scarf.
Kate Middleton posed in a green jacket layered over a white collared shirt and a brown sweater. Prince George appeared in a casual outfit with blue jeans, a brown vest, and a striped shirt.

According to British media, the image was taken during the same photoshoot previously used for Prince William’s Father’s Day greetings, as well as official portraits of Prince Louis for his 7th birthday in April and Prince George for his 12th birthday in July.
Photographer Josh Shinner is no stranger to the royal family — he has photographed Kate for official portraits and has frequently captured family sessions for the Dukes and Duchesses of Cambridge.
The new Christmas photo once again highlights the warm, informal atmosphere that Kate and William aim to convey in their holiday messages.
