Romanian forces destroyed two Gerbera drones near the Neptun Deep offshore gas project, according to Romania's acting Defense Minister Radu Miruță.

Bomb disposal experts detonated the drones approximately 90 nautical miles (more than 166 kilometers) east of the city of Constanța, the official said.
The unmanned aerial vehicles were spotted by one of the vessels carrying out work in the area of the Neptun Deep platform.
A Coast Guard vessel carrying military personnel was dispatched to the area.
"Two drifting UAVs and several other pieces of debris were identified. The Ministry of National Defense contacted its Ukrainian partners, who confirmed that these systems do not belong to them," Miruță added.
Romanian authorities decided to destroy the drones in a controlled detonation.
Gerbera-type drones are unmanned aerial vehicles manufactured in Russia. They are typically used for reconnaissance or as decoy drones.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that on July 31, Romanian authorities issued an emergency alert for residents of the northern part of Tulcea County due to drones near the border with Ukraine. Two F-16 fighter jets were scrambled.
It was also reported that Romania shot down three Russian drones in just three days. Bucharest spent €1.5 million on the operation.
In addition, a drone shot down over Romania on July 24 was identified as a Russian Shahed, the country's prosecutor's office confirmed.
