Nyzhankovychi-Malhowice, a new automobile checkpoint, will be opened on the border of Ukraine and Poland. It will start operating on December 20, says Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

The checkpoint will be open for passenger and freight transport. Pedestrian traffic will begin after the construction of the relevant infrastructure.

“Today at the meeting we approved the relevant Agreement between the governments of Ukraine and Poland. The opening of a new checkpoint will reduce the load on the existing ones. It will also expand the opportunities for Ukrainian exports,” said Shmyhal.

Restrictions on border traffic

At the end of November, the passage of trucks was suspended at the Ukrainian-Polish border. According to customs officials, it was the Dorohusk-Yahodyn checkpoint. The Polish side reported a malfunction in the customs clearance system.
