The military forces of the Russian Federation have massively shelled Kherson. As a result of the enemy's attack, several fires have broken out in the city, according to the head of the Kherson city military administration, Roman Mrochko, and the head of the Kherson regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
"Around 18:00, Russian occupiers launched a massive attack on Kherson," Mrochko reported.
According to him, powerful explosions were heard in several areas of the city, leading to several fires.
"The enemy traditionally targeted residential neighborhoods," added the head of the Regional Military Administration.
The consequences of the attack
The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration stated that the occupiers targeted critical infrastructure in Kherson.
"There was a rupture in the gas pipelines. A fire broke out. Also, one of the medical facilities came under fire," he added.
Situation in the Kherson region
After the liberation of the right bank of the Kherson region, a part of the region is under constant shelling by occupiers. The Russians are attacking the civilian population with heavy weapons, artillery, and aviation.
As the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, mentioned, during the past day, on December 22, terrorists carried out 83 shelling incidents on the region's territory. In total, 439 shells were fired from mortars, artillery, Grad systems, tanks, aviation, and UAVs. The enemy targeted residential neighborhoods in the settlements of the region.
As a result of the shelling, 6 people were injured, including an 85-year-old woman. The Regional Military Administration showed the consequences of enemy artillery strikes on residential neighborhoods in Kherson.
