According to law enforcement and rescuers, Russians fired Iskander-M ballistic missiles at Kramatorsk.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the Russian army fired an Iskander-K cruise missile and an Iskander-M ballistic missile, as well as six Kh-59/Kh-69 missiles and nine attack drones at Ukraine last night.

Air defense forces destroyed eight kamikaze drones in the Mykolaiv region.

Who are the victims

In the morning, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, said that three journalists were injured in the attack on the hotel. They are citizens of Ukraine, the United States and Britain. There was also information that one person was under the rubble.

The State Emergency Service also confirmed this information. Rescuers noted that the shelling partially destroyed the two-story hotel building. A person was rescued from the second floor, and another person is being searched for.

As of 11 AM Kyiv time, rescuers have dismantled 60 tons of building structures.

The prosecutor's office clarified that foreign journalists aged 38 and 40 were injured in the hotel that came under fire. The wounded had mine-blast trauma, concussion, a broken leg, contusion, and cut wounds.

Reuters reported that its journalists were injured in the shelling. A six-member Reuters team was staying in a hotel in Kramatorsk.

“One of our colleagues is unaccounted for, while another two have been taken to hospital for treatment,” the news agency said in a statement.

Later, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration confirmed that all the victims were Reuters journalists, citizens of Ukraine, the United States, Latvia, and Germany. A journalist from the United Kingdom is likely to be under the rubble.

According to Vadym Filashkin, the number of wounded has increased to four.

Polish journalist Monika Andruszewska was also injured in the attack. She covers Russia's war against Ukraine. At the time of the attack, she traveled nearby in a car.

The journalist received light injuries. The woman posted a photo of the damaged car on her social media.

“My first personal blood shed for Ukraine was just on Independence Day. After 10 years of war. Iskander is next to me... You just drive around the city. You just live. You just breathe. This is enough for the Russians to try to kill you,” Andruszewska wrote on Facebook.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has reacted to the attack on Kramatorsk. A spokesperson for the ministry called Russia's actions a barbaric crime and called on the world to condemn the shelling, which resulted in the injuries of foreign journalists.
