Return of ten Ukrainian civilians from Russian captivity: Zelenskyy showed video
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy showed the first moments after the return of ten Ukrainian prisoners. Their exchange took place on June 28.
The footage shows tears, confusion, tight hugs, smiles, and the joy of returning home, which was hard to hide.
The SSU also showed exclusive footage of the return of prisoners. Judging by the footage, the exchange takes place on the border with Belarus.
"This is the result of the work of the Joint Center for the Coordination of the Search and Release of Prisoners of War, which implemented the decision of the Coordination Headquarters on the treatment of prisoners of war," the special service said.
Prisoner exchange
On June 28, Ukraine managed to bring back ten more Ukrainians. Among them were both civilians and the Deputy Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, Nariman Dzhelyal, who was captured in 2021.
Some of the civilians were captured by Russia in 2017-2018. Among them are also priests of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church who were captured in Berdyansk. Later, Zelenskyy shared photos of the exchange.
