Residential building exploded in Ternopil region, casualties reported
In the village of Khlopivka in the Ternopil region, there was a gas explosion in a private residential house. One person was injured and hospitalized, according to the main department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Ternopil region.
Rescuers report that on January 2 at 18:05, they received information about an explosion in a private residential house in the village of Khlopivka in the Horostkiv territorial community of the Chortkiv district.
As a result of the explosion, the dwelling was destroyed. The owner of the house was injured, and he was conscious when taken to a medical facility.
"The probable cause of the explosion is the depressurization of the internal gas supply system," stated the State Emergency Service.
Gas explosion in Lviv
On the evening of December 23 in Lviv, on Knyahyni Olhy Street, there was a gas explosion in a private two-story residential house.
The explosion destroyed supporting walls, causing a fire. As a result, three people were injured, including two children, and three individuals lost their lives. Law enforcement initiated a criminal case in connection with the incident.
