During the firefighting operation prompted by enemy shelling from the Russian Federation, Ukrainian firefighters came under repeated artillery fire twice, according to the State Emergency Service.

As a result of the hostile attack, a fire broke out in one of the settlements in the Shostka district.

"The fire was in the residential sector. While extinguishing the fire, rescuers had to urgently leave the scene twice as there were repeated enemy shelling," the service reported.

Despite the attacks from the Russian Federation, the firefighting teams managed to successfully extinguish the burning centers, thereby saving the homes of civilians.

Shelling on the Sumy region

Today, on December 6, two local residents were affected as a result of the Russian shelling of the Sumy region.

We also reported that on December 4, Russian forces once again shelled the border areas of the Sumy region. One person was injured in the attack.

Prior to that, Russian forces shelled the border areas of the Sumy region on November 28. At that time, three people were killed, including a child.

Earlier, aggressors also shelled the city of Seredyna-Buda in the Sumy region with mortars. As a result of the attack, a 48-year-old man, who was on his own property, was killed.
