Shelling of rescuers in Ukraine
Russian troops are constantly shelling rescue teams while extinguishing fires, or buildings of the State Emergency Service in Ukraine. For example, on November 15, a rescue team in Zaporizhzhia region was attacked, resulting in the deaths of two rescuers and injuries to three others. They came to put out a fire after the Russian attack and got under repeated fire.
On the same day, rescuers came under fire when they arrived to extinguish a house fire after an attack by Russian troops in the suburbs of Kherson. The firefighters had to work several times with interruptions.
On November 18, the Russians launched three missile attacks on the Komyshuvaha community in Zaporizhzhia region. Four local residents were injured in the attack. A fire broke out. Rescuers immediately arrived at the scene. That's when Russia shelled the area again. The latest shelling killed two employees of the State Emergency Service and injured three others with varying degrees of severity.
