The Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC) has claimed responsibility for another raid in the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation. Prior to this, on the evening of September 4, the aggressor country had alleged the supposed "cessation of an attempt" to infiltrate the region by a "Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG)," according to the RVC's Telegram channel.

Russian volunteers have stated that during their operation in the Bryansk region, they eliminated two employees of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB).

Additionally, representatives of the Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC) ridiculed the Russian side's claims of a successful repulsion of the raid.

"We congratulate the Russian FSB on another "squeeze-out"! The 'successful repulsion of attacks by Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups' wouldn't have been as successful if at least two members of the agency hadn't lost their lives," noted the volunteers.

They explained that it was their unit's fighters who carried out this mission.

"By the way, you got it wrong again: it wasn't "Ukrainian DRG" that you faced, but fighters of the Russian Volunteer Corps!" emphasized the RVC.

They also published photos from this raid into the Russian Bryansk region and shared screenshots of publications about the elimination of FSB representatives.

What preceded this

Earlier, the governor of the Russian Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, claimed on his Telegram channel on September 4 that there was supposedly a "cessation of an attempt" by the Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group to infiltrate the territory of the Russian Federation. He mentioned that this involved the personnel of the Border Directorate of the FSB in the region and units of the Russian Ministry of Defense in the border Sevsky district of the Bryansk region.

The Russian official posted images, which he claimed depicted "weapons and ammunition abandoned by the saboteurs," allegedly found at the site of the armed confrontation.

Raids by Russian volunteers onto the territory of the Russian Federation

Earlier in June, fighters from the Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC) and the "Freedom of Russia Legion," who are assisting Ukraine in defending against Russian aggression, initiated another operation in the Belgorod region.

During the operations, volunteers reported successes, including the capture of several occupiers and the destruction of multiple enemy vehicles.

Additionally, in July, fighters from the "Freedom of Russia Legion" announced plans for another cross-border raid into Russia.

Regarding the Bryansk region, RVC fighters conducted a raid there with combat actions back in March.
