Repeated strikes target rescuers battling blaze after Russian attack

Russian troops tonight, 4 September, carried out a series of strikes on objects of critical and industrial infrastructure in the Sumy region. As a result of the strike, a large-scale fire broke out, according to the State Emergency Service.
"The enemy repeatedly carried out strikes on the section where rescuers were extinguishing the fire. Firefighters were not injured; they were in safer places. All sources of burning were eliminated," noted the State Emergency Service.
It is also reported that because of the attack by the Russians, the nonresidential buildings of the Sumy community caught fire, and employees of the State Emergency Service examined the places of impact and prevented further spreading of fire.
Russian strike on Ukraine on 5 September
On Thursday evening, 4 September, the Russian army launched a drone strike of the type Shahed. Later, the Air Forces of Ukraine reported about the danger of enemy drones for Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk regions, and later — also for the Zaporizhzhia region.
It was also reported that the Russian army, in the night on 5 September, attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region with drones. The Air Defense Forces eliminated 15 Russian strike drones.
Besides that, as a result of the morning attack by drones on the Novhorod-Siverskyi community of the Chernihiv region, critical infrastructure was damaged. Part of the district remained without electricity.
