The Russian army attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region with drones on the night of September 5. Air defense forces destroyed 15 of them, Serhii Lysak, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, reports.

In Dnipro, the aggressor struck an industrial facility. Fires broke out there, and rescuers were quickly deployed to extinguish them.

Russian troops also used an FPV drone to hit the Nikopol district, in particular, the Pokrovsk community.

"There were no dead or injured anywhere," Lysak noted.

Local Telegram channels reported multiple explosions in Dnipro, as well as a potential chemical hazard. However, there have been no official reports about this.

On Thursday evening, September 4, the Russian army launched Shahed drones at Ukraine. Air raid alerts were declared in several regions.

On the night of September 5, the Air Force of Ukraine reported a threat to the Poltava region, in particular the Lubny district, and minutes later to Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv regions.

Earlier, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) noted that Russia has ramped up production of Shahed drones. This may indicate that the Kremlin is preparing for a prolonged war against Ukraine.
