Yesterday, August 6, Ukrainian special forces carried out a raid on the Tendra Spit, located in the Black Sea. Ukrainian forces managed to destroy enemy equipment, personnel, and fortifications during the operation, according to the Main Intelligence Directorate.

According to the agency, the operation in the northern part of the Black Sea was executed by special forces from the Artan active operations unit and the Marine Center of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

It is reported that during the night, a landing group of special forces landed on the Tendra Spit and destroyed enemy armored vehicles, including an MT-LB, and enemy electronic warfare systems, and also demolished Russian fortifications.

"During the battle, the Russian invaders suffered losses among their personnel, with the exact number still being clarified. After completing the mission, including its classified components, the military intelligence officers withdrew without any losses," the statement reads.

The intelligence agency reported that this is not the first successful active operation by GUR special forces on the Russian-occupied Tendra Spit.

"These actions are just part of a large-scale plan by the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine, which is currently being implemented," the agency added.

The Tendra Spit is a narrow island about 65 km long and up to 1.8 km wide. It is located in the northern part of the Black Sea, near Ukrainian Crimea and off the coast of the Kherson region.
