Ukrainian special forces attacked a Russian air base in Syria. This happened after a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, according to sources in Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.

At the end of July, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine conducted a special operation to attack the Russian Army's Kuweyres airfield, located east of Aleppo.

The complex strike was carried out by the fighters of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine of the Khimik group.

Special Forces destroyed a Russian electronic warfare complex and then attacked Russian targets at the airfield itself with drones.

The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine attacked Russian positions a day after Russian dictator Vladimir Putin met with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on July 24.

Kuweyres airfield has been controlled and used by the Russians for military purposes since 2015.
