Russia is ready for war with Europe but "does not want" a conflict. At the same time, Moscow "supports any steps" toward restoring relations with European countries, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, according to TASS.
"Many in Europe are preparing for war with Russia by 2030. Russia is ready, but it does not want war," he said.
Putin added that if a war broke out between Russia and Europe, "there would be no winners." He urged European countries "not to forget that."
At the same time, the Kremlin chief said Russia "supports any steps" toward restoring relations with EU member states.
Earlier, UK Defense Secretary John Healey’s predecessor, Wes Streeting, said Britain needed to strengthen its defenses and prepare for a possible war with Russia by 2030.
Meanwhile, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz warned EU countries against complacency, saying Putin sought not only Ukraine’s defeat but also to undermine democracy in Europe.
