Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has commented on Europe's plans to launch a special tribunal for the crime of Russian aggression next week, according to TASS.

The Kremlin spokesperson was asked to comment on Europe's plans for a special tribunal for Russia.

"No. We will not respond to this," he replied briefly.

Tribunal for Russia

Today, May 9, a meeting of foreign ministers from the coalition for the creation of a special tribunal for Russia took place in Lviv. Following the meeting, the participants expressed political agreement on the establishment of such a tribunal.

At the same time, Luxembourg's foreign minister, Xavier Bettel, announced that the special tribunal for Russia will be launched next week in Luxembourg.

EU foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas, noted that the tribunal would be able to make decisions in absentia. However, the verdict against Russian officials will only take effect after they cease to hold their positions.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that such a tribunal would make the punishment for Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, and other war criminals inevitable.
