The Kremlin does not plan mass mobilization in Russia, which was expected to be announced after the State Duma elections in the autumn, states Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya.

The Permanent Representative assured that mass mobilization in Russia is not currently planned.

He said that there was no need to worry about mobilization in Russia, adding that it had been officially stated many times that mass mobilization was not currently needed and, as far as he knew, was neither planned nor expected.

At the same time, Nebenzya said that they would have to wait and see what happened after the elections and who ultimately proved to be right or wrong.

The journalist also asked Nebenzya to comment on the departure of Russians to Georgia, supposedly caused by the expected mobilization in the autumn, but he denied it.

He said that he would not say that tens of thousands of young Russians were fleeing to Georgia.

Nearly 40,000 people left Russia for Georgia through the pedestrian checkpoint – and that is only over a few days. This phenomenon is linked to mobilization in Russia, which the international community expects after the State Duma elections scheduled for September.

Although Moscow denies mobilization, recently the deputy head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Major General Vadym Skibitskyi, reported signs of mobilization in Russia.

According to him, if the Russian leader makes a final decision, Ukrainian intelligence will record the corresponding indicators.

In addition, there are increasingly more signs in Russia pointing to heightened mobilization readiness. The authorities are already seeking new ways to replenish the army.
