Putin's interview is nothing but Russian special operation - Ukrainian intelligence
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson is nothing but a Russian special operation, according to Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.
"This is nothing but a Russian special operation. Of course, this is a means of influence, an information and psychological special operation. Yes, a Russian special operation. Because the target audience of this interview is the free world, the Western world. These narratives are false and the propaganda is supposed to convince the free democratic world of something," he says.
Yusov called Putin a "geopolitical madman" who "talks about some nonsense about international law, history, decides which nations exist or not, memes about the Austrian General Staff."
"They used this IPSO so-so. But the very fact that Russian special services spend enormous amounts of money to influence the Western audience suggests that this audience is important to them. They understand that the ability to influence the democratic world is critically important to them," the DIU representative adds.
Putin's propaganda interview
Last night a big interview of the Russian dictator to the American journalist Tucker Carlson was published. Even before it was published, the interview was widely circulated by Russian propaganda. Carlson came to Moscow for it, and his visit was also covered by Russian media.
The Ukrainian Center for Strategic Communications refuted fake statements from Putin's interview, in particular, about neo-Nazism, Lenin, and Stalin, who allegedly created Ukraine, the "civil war," and so on.
