The spokeswoman for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, and the press secretary for the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, have denied media reports about an imminent framework agreement on the war in Ukraine, according to Russian media.
"As the Foreign Ministry reported, if the American side had any proposals, they would have been communicated through the established channels of communication between the foreign policy departments of the two countries. The Russian Foreign Ministry has not received anything of the sort from the State Department," Zakharova said.
The press secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov, in turn, stated that there is no news regarding negotiations between Russia and the US on ending the war in Ukraine.
He commented on Axios’ material about consultations between the United States and Russia on developing a plan to resolve the war.
"No, at this point, there are no updates in this regard that we could inform you about," Peskov told journalists.

It is noted that the US plan is inspired by President Donald Trump’s successful efforts to reach a peace agreement on Gaza. At the same time, it remains unclear how the plan addresses such a complex issue as territories.
In addition, Politico reported that a framework agreement to end Russia’s war against Ukraine could be finalized soon.
A senior White House official stated that President Donald Trump’s team conducted negotiations with Moscow without the involvement of the EU or Ukraine. The White House intends to present the outcome of the talks to Kyiv as a final and accepted decision.
