Russian President Vladimir Putin may agree to a ceasefire with Ukraine, but there is a condition, Bloomberg reports.

Sources reveal that last month, during a meeting in Saudi Arabia, the Russian delegation presented a ceasefire proposal to the US regarding Ukraine.

One Bloomberg source mentioned that for a ceasefire, Russia wants a clear understanding of the framework for a final peace agreement. Specifically, Moscow insists on defining the parameters of a peacekeeping mission that could be sent to Ukraine, including determining which countries would send soldiers.

It is important to note that Russia opposes the involvement of NATO countries in the peacekeeping mission.

However, the sources clarify that Moscow does not object to "neutral" countries in the conflict, such as China, deploying their forces on Ukrainian territory.

Truce between Ukraine and Russia

The US insists that Ukraine and Russia agree on a ceasefire.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine could agree to such a step only if there were security guarantees and additional arms supplies.

At the same time, Estonia's intelligence has reported that Russia is open to ceasefire talks, but only as a way to "catch breath."
