Putin justifies strikes on Ukraine as retaliation for refinery attacks

Russian leader Vladimir Putin has once again attempted to justify strikes on Ukraine. He claimed that the attacks were a "mirror response" to Ukrainian drone strikes on oil refineries, according to Readovka.
How Putin justifies the strikes
According to the Russian president, Ukraine is allegedly carrying out strikes "against purely civilian facilities," so Russia was "forced to respond in kind."
The dictator cynically described the strikes on Ukraine as "meaningful for those who opened this Pandora’s box."
He also said one possible response was to launch strikes "so that they won't even think about hurting us."
What Putin said about the oil refineries
Russian president claims that three Russian oil refineries were attacked the day before yesterday, but that all the strikes were allegedly repelled. According to him, around 10% of the repair work remains to be completed at the refineries and will be finished soon.
Earlier, Putin said that Russian forces had been ordered to prepare massive strikes against Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. He cited Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian oil refineries as the reason, including an attempt to strike three facilities on September 1.
