Putin feels weakness like animal he is, Zelenskyy states
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin feels the weakness of others, just like the animal he is, states Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with The Economist.
He says that by supporting Ukraine, Europe is defending itself against Russian aggression.
"Giving us money or giving us weapons, you support yourself. You save your children, not ours," he cautioned.
The President adds that if Russia is allowed to take Ukrainian children, it will take others' children as well. If Russia violates the rights of Ukrainians, "it will violate the rights in the world."
Zelenskyy emphasizes that if Ukraine loses, Putin will bring his wars closer to the West.
"Putin feels weakness like an animal, because he is an animal. He senses blood, he senses his strength. And he will eat you for dinner with all your EU, NATO freedom, and democracy," he states.
When will the war end?
According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, no one, not even commanders, can answer that question for now.
"When they say that the war will last for many years, they don't know. These are opinions. Opinions often differ from reality," explained the country's leader.
Back in November, comparing the war to a 100-meter race, according to the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already covered 70 meters.
