Russian dictator Vladimir Putin assured that Russia has enough strength to complete the war against Ukraine to a "logical conclusion." He also named the "desired result" for Russia in the war in the propaganda film "Russia. Kremlin. Putin. 25 years."

The dictator said Russia has "enough forces and resources to bring what started in 2022 to a logical conclusion with the result Russia needs."

"This result is the removal of the causes that led to this crisis, creating conditions for long-term sustainable peace and ensuring the security of the Russian state, securing the interests of our people in those territories we have always talked about — where people live who consider Russian their native language and see Russia as their homeland," Putin said.

For reference, in the same propaganda film, Putin claimed that Russia was "provoked" to use nuclear weapons.

Ukraine-Russia talks

On May 16, Ukraine and Russia held their first talks in three years. Moscow had previously stated that the Russian delegation referred back to the 2022 negotiations.

At the start of the full-scale war, Russia demanded that Ukraine abandon NATO, reduce its armed forces to 85,000 soldiers, and recognize Crimea as Russian territory.

However, the Ukrainian president’s office stressed that all Russian attempts to link the talks to 2022 would fail.
