Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is unhappy that the West "disrespectfully" treats Russia’s interests to "gain geopolitical advantages," TASS informs.

The Kremlin leader said that he previously believed the main conflicts between the West and the USSR were tied to Soviet ideology.

"But (even after the USSR’s collapse) the careless attitude toward the Russian Federation’s strategic state interests remained. It was tied to a clear desire to achieve some geopolitical advantages. Moreover, even after I became president, I didn’t immediately understand it all," Putin added.

The dictator complained that despite attempts to convey Russia’s position, the West remained indifferent to its interests.

"For me, it became clear that ideology probably had some significance, but still, at the core of all these conflicts lie geopolitical interests," he said.

By the way, only recently Putin accused the West in a conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron of trying to create an "anti-Russian foothold" in Ukraine. He imagined that the war against Ukraine was supposedly a consequence of Western policy.

Threat of a Russian attack on NATO

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that Russia could attack NATO countries within five years.

At the same time, according to the Ukrainian leader, within the next 10 years dictator Vladimir Putin will have a new army.

Meanwhile, the head of Germany’s Federal Intelligence Service (BND), Bruno Kahl, warned that Russia could carry out limited ground operations against NATO countries in the coming years.
